Cow Juice and Acne

by Alexander Holle

There is growing evidence that suggests that the consumption of cow's milk can actually cause acne breakouts. There are many hormones, bioactive molecules, and other substances found in milk that have a direct relationship to the development of acne in humans. One such substance is iodine. For people who have acne-prone skin, iodine can be a problem because it can stimulate pores into producing acne-causing oil. Dermatological studies have shown that 1,000 micrograms (or 1 milligram) of iodine a day can have acne-producing effects.11% of milk samples gathered from over 150 dairy herds in the state of Wisconsin were found to contain over 1,000 micrograms of iodine per liter of milk. Iodine enters cow's milk through milking equipment and through some medications given to milk-producing cows. The hormone 5 alpha-dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is one hormone that is known to be a direct cause of acne flare-ups. DHT causes stimulation of the oil-making cells of human skin, which can cause acne. While cow's milk does not contain DHT, it contains many other hormones that are broken down into DHT. In fact, the volume of these hormones is particularly high in the milk of pregnant cows, which comprises 75% to 90% of the milk and dairy products found in supermarket coolers. Many of the hormones found in the milk produced by pregnant cows also may break down to create androgen, a hormone that causes an increase in the production of sebum, the waxy material that is secreted by the sebaceous glands. Sebum is known to clog pores and to lead to acne breakouts. In addition to the hormones found in cow's milk, the fat, sugar, and animal proteins found in milk may also aggravate acne.Research has shown that many of the foods commonly thought to be associated with acne, such as greasy french fries, oily pizza, or sugary chocolate, are not actually related to acne at all. Instead, it is milk and dairy products that are more likely to cause an increase in persistent acne breakouts.Whole milk, reduced fat milk, and skim milk, are all equal in their potential to cause acne when consumed. Those who suffer from acne should also watch out for milk-based dairy products such as cottage cheese and cream cheese. Dairy products also often contain high levels of butterfat and milk sugars, both of which should be avoided by those who suffer from frequent acne breakouts. Many dermatologists advise their patients to omit all milk and dairy products from their diets in an effort to minimize the appearance of acne. Patients who choose to adopt this method of acne-control, however, should be conscious that their milk and dairy-free diets have appropriate amounts of calcium. These people might consider taking a daily calcium supplement, and should talk with their doctors about how else they might compensate for the omission of milk and dairy products from their diets.A clinical dermatological study conducted over 10 years concluded that milk contributed significantly to acne problems of a large percentage of the 1,088 teenagers who took part in the study. The study also showed marked improvements in the teens' acne as they curbed their consumption of all milk and dairy products.

Save Money On Acne Cleansers

by Alexander Holle

My first education on how to buy acne skin care products came from Johnson & Johnson and Noxema. They had their models wash their clear complexions with the perfect acne cleanser and then, once the suds vanished, the models were dancing around so happy not having to worry about zits.Alas, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid and most other acne washes do not wash away zits. One trap to fall into with cleansers is over cleansing, which can aggravate acne. The next trap, which is common, is to expect too much from one product. For example, benzoyl peroxide works by destroying excess acne provoking bacteria. Salicylic acid exfoliates the skin and clears the pores, which reduces the chances for waste buildup in the pores and producing a zit.If you have severe acne like I did, over the counter acne washes cannot provide the amount of bacteria control and exfoliation you need to keep acne at bay. It's like trying to empty a bathtub with a teaspoon instead of just unplugging the water clog. Severe acne requires regulating the skin on an internal and external level. You can regulate the growth of excess bacteria on the face and body in a number of ways.1. Decrease or control your stress response.Stress sets off a series of hormonal reactions that can ultimately produce excess oil on the face and provide an ideal environment for excess acne-causing bacteria growth on the face.2. Moderate sugar consumption.Excess sugar, like stress, moves the hormones to excrete more oil on the face. It's not the chocolate the causes the acne, just the collective hormonal response of a sugar overload.3. Take a multi-vitamin.It may sound silly, or trivial, but taking a multivitamin can provide vital nutrients that boosts the immune system and help you manage stress better. Collectively, strong immunity and stress control help reduce acne breakouts.I learned these three points the hard way. Trial and error and buying a lot of acne skin care products. If your at a loss about choosing an acne product, I can only say this, high price does not guarantee high quality. When I used Oxy 10 for instance, I found it worked just as well as products that costs 5 times as much. One drawback is that these drying products are not ideal for maturing skin. If you are battling acne and wrinkles, I suggest using essential oils to combat acne flair-ups such as tea tree or eucalyptus oil.On a final note, if you've been using an acne cleanser for months with no noticeable improvement in your skin, I suggest trying to regulate you skin's condition from the inside, with sound nutrition and relaxation.

Acne Treatment- Surgical Procedures

by CD Mohatta

Many times acne becomes difficult to treat with topical and oral medication. It does not give response to the treatment and doctors' resort to small surgical procedures to treat acne and reduce pain. Cystic and nodulastic acne become quite painful because of inflammation and infection. With surgery this pain is alleviated. Let us know more about the kind of surgical procedures commonly used to treat acne.
Acne Treatment-surgical drainage
This procedure is performed on large cystic acne that is full of sebum, pus, dead skin cells and body fluids. The doctor cuts and drains the cyst. This reduces the pain of the cyst and cures it faster. If the pus is left inside the cysts, it may hurt the deep skin and cause more scars. By draining the acne, all infection is removed and acne is treated with antibiotics to heal.
Acne Treatment-surgical extraction
Whiteheads and blackheads are extracted surgically. This extraction needs skill otherwise pores become larger. If sterile tools are not used, it can also cause infection. If done by unskilled hands with use of non-sterile equipment, it may lead to further infection and scarring. So take care. Whiteheads and blackheads should be always be extracted by experts.
Acne Treatment- other surgical procedures
Some other procedures are also used to treat acne. They are not strictly surgical but do not involve medications. Chemical Peeling, microdermabrasion and light/laser are some of these procedures.
In chemical peeling glycolic acid is commonly used to remove the upper layer of dead skin. The peel is done with a mild solution of glycolic acid. The Glycolic Acid breaks the bond between the dead skin cells and fresh skin. This treatment is used to treat acne in the beginning stages. In microdermabrasion, very tiny particles are thrown at the skin at high speed to remove the dead layer of skin cells and also loosen the whiteheads and blackheads. This Procedure cannot be used on inflamed acne. It can be used at the early stages only. Different types of lasers are now used to treat acne. Laser is not a common therapy for acne and is still under testing. Blue light is commonly used to treat acne. It kills the bacteria P.acnes and reduces inflammation. Green-yellow light and heat energy are used in combination to kill the bacteria and shrink the sebaceous glands.

Yoga: Stress Reducing Way To Combat Acne

by 10acne

Many people that suffer from acne should look into the skin healing benefits of doing yoga. This relaxing form of exercise is an excellent way to regenerate both the body as well as the mind. Now how can yoga help to rid your skin of acne?
Stress is one of the largest contributors to someone experiencing an acne breakout. When you are tired and stressed your skin is one of the first things to suffer. Many skin experts claim that exercise will help rid the skin of acne however, sweat can cause new breakouts in addition to potentially making current acne problem worse then they were before you started exercising.
You will have a very hard workout when you participate in yoga. The difference is yoga is preformed at a much slower pace then most other exercises so you are much less likely to work up a sweat. This pace will allow a person to get a great workout and by not sweating as much they are likely to have their skin clear up as well.
In addition to being a low impact exercise yoga is known world wide as being an excellent way to relax your body. Since stress is a huge factor being able to lessen the stress in your life will do wonders for clearing up blemish problems on your skin. If you keep up with a regular routine of yoga you are likely to see healthier looking skin in no time at all.

Believe It Or Not Water Can Help Acne

by Dale Mazurek

You probably know that acne is usually a break out of wastes and toxic build up in your body. In this article I intend to show you how water can help your acne condition.
By now we know that our body gets rid of wastes from 4 different organs. Bowels, kidneys, lungs and skin. The only time that your body uses the lungs and skin is when the bowels and kidneys can't keep up with expelling the wastes. There is a good chance that this happens when you don't drink enough water. In your body water is the main carrier of nutrients which helps to heal and prevent acne flare ups.
By drinking lots of water you dissolve the waste products in your system. The dissolved products can be easily carried and expelled from the body. If you don't drink the water then the wastes can't be carried. This means they will build up in your body. So now your lungs and skin have to expel the products which result in acne.
There really is no exact answer on how much water you should be drinking to dissolve the wastes in your body. Some people say 8 glasses while others say 4 litres. My suggestion to you is to drink enough water to keep your urine clear. This will probably take a lot more water then you are presently drinking. Just remember that too much water can be dangerous so you have to know your happy medium.
Start with a small number like 6 glasses a day until you see if your urine gets clear in a few days. If it doesn't get clear then you can up the amount a couple glasses every three days until your urine clears up. What you're trying to do here is find the right amount of water for your system.
Another thing to remember is that you can't just drink any kind of water. Tap water is full of toxins so what you should be drinking is either distilled or purified. Theoretically you should be drinking both distilled and purified.
By now you should know that not just water will get rid of your acne. It is definitely a big piece of the puzzle in all the other little things you are doing.

Top 10 Ways to Cure Acne

by Mark Sinclair

10. Drink plenty of water. Water helps rid your body of toxins and keeps your skin plump and moist.
9. Get adequate sleep. Sleep is when your body fights acne the most. In addition, it is when blemishes heal. If you don't get enough sleep, your body won't have the proper time to heal.
8. Limit sugar intake. Too much sugar causes your blood sugar to spike which makes your body release hormones that can cause acne breakouts.
7. Don't touch your face (or let anyone else). Your hands have oils that can clog pores and cause acne to flare up.
6. Be careful shaving. For guys especially, be careful to shave with the grain, and softly. Ingrown hairs can cause skin problems.
5. Shower before sleeping. If you only shower once in the day, shower at night because your body has gotten much dirtier throughout the day.
4. Keep your skin moisturized. Dry skin is a big cause of acne. Keep your skin well moisturized with an oil free lotion.
3. Don't scrub too hard. Scrubbing too hard can cause skin irritiation and cause your skin to breakout.
2. Don't pop your pimples. As hard as this is, it is very important not to pop your pimples, as this causes the bacteria to spread.
1. Believe that it will get better. This is hugely important. If you have a positive attitude and believe that your acne will get better, your body will start to believe it as well and your skin will improve.

LIVING WITH ACNE

by Cnk

Acne vulgaris is an inflammatory skin condition, which particularly affects the face, back, and chest. It is commonest in young adolescents, but may persist into late adult life. It may appear for the first time in the 20s. The skin is usually excessively greasy and may have comedones (blackheads), small pimples, large pustules (pus spots) or painful swollen cysts.
Does sex affect acne? No. Although the sex hormones testosterone is the primary cause of acne you do not develop spots because you have too much of this hormone or are over sexed. Masturbation and whether you have sex or not has no effect on acne and certainly does not cause it.
Is acne caused by dirt? No. The black of blackheads is due to the pigment or colouring of the plug of sticky cells blocking the hair duct. In fact most people with acne wash more frequently than those without the condition to try to clear away the excess oil produced by their skin. But over washing can actually make acne worse by drying the skin and making it sore. Normal regular washing with mild soap twice a day is all that is needed. If you a combination skin, non-oily moisturiser on dry patches will not make acne worse.
Does acne become worse before periods?Yes. Many women notice that their acne gets worse two to seven days before their period starts. This is probably due to changes in their hormone levels at this stage in the menstrual cycle.
Will pregnancy improve acne?Yes and no. Some women's acne virtually disappears but often recurs at the end of pregnancy while for others pregnancy heralds the reactivation of acne or the worsening of an existing condition.
Does sweating affect acne?Yes. Up to 15% of sufferers find their acne flares up when they have been sweating a lot. This is probably due to water swelling the partial hair duct obstruction causing a complete blockage and therefore inflammation.
Do humid atmospheres make acne worse?Yes. Going on holiday to a very humid climate or working in an environment such as a kitchen or steam room can cause acne to flare up in the same way as sweating does. This is due to hydration and swelling of the ductal blockages which precipitate the inflammatory phase of acne.
Can medicines make acne worse?Yes. Many medicines may do this, most commonly cortisteroids and anti-epilepsy drugs. If you think that medicines you are taking have made your acne worse, you should speak to your doctor. Never stop taking medication without medical advice.
Can clothes affect acne?Continual pressure from headbands, tight bra straps and collars may cause spots in those areas of the skin. The reason for this is unclear but may be related to localisation of sweat in those areas.
Can my work exacerbate my acne?Yes. Coming into contact with cutting and mineral oils can cause acne-like spots on the arms and legs and make existing acne worse where the oil comes in contact with the skin.

Home Remedies to Fight Acne

by Juliet Cohen

Acne is a common skin disease that causes pimples. Acne affects a large percentage of humans at some stage in life. Acne lesion, called the comedo is simply an enlarged and plugged hair follicle. It is considered an abnormal response to normal levels of the male hormone testosterone. Acne lesions usually occur on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. Acne lesions are commonly referred to as pimples, spots, plukes or zits. The condition is most common in puberty. The response for most people diminishes over time and acne thus tends to disappear, or at least decrease, after one reaches his or her early twenties. Although acne is usually not a serious health threat, it can be a source of significant emotional distress. These are more inflamed and pus-filled or reddish bumps, that can easily lead to scarring or serious infections. Non-inflamed 'sebaceous cysts', more properly called epidermoid cysts, occur either in association with acne or alone but are not a constant feature. After resolution of acne lesions, prominent unsightly scars may remain. Acne usually appears during adolescence, when people already tend to be most socially insecure. Early and aggressive treatment is therefore advocated to lessen the overall impact to individuals.
Acne is affects young men and young women about equally, but there are differences. Several factors are known to be linked to acne molstly Hormonal activity, such as menstrual cycles and puberty ,Stress, through increased output of hormones from the adrenal (stress) glands. Hyperactive sebaceous glands, secondary to the three hormone sources above ,Accumulation of dead skin cells ,Bacteria in the pores, to which the body becomes 'allergic',Skin irritation or scratching of any sort will activate inflammation ,Use of anabolic steroids ,Any medication containing halogens (iodides, chlorides, bromides), lithium, barbiturates, or androgens ,Exposure to high levels of chlorine compounds, particularly chlorinated dioxins, can cause severe, long-lasting acne, known as Chloracne ,Traditionally, attention has focused mostly on hormone-driven over-production of sebum as the main contributing factor of acne. People of all races and ages get acne. It is most common in adolescents and young adults. An estimated 80 percent of all people between the ages of 11 and 30 have acne outbreaks at some point.
Treatment of Acne
1.OTC bactericidal products containing benzoyl peroxide may be used in mild to moderate acne. The gel or cream containing benzoyl peroxide is rubbed, twice daily, into the pores over the affected region.
2.Stiemycin or tetracycline aim to kill the bacteria that are harbored in the blocked follicles.
3.Acne can be improved with hormonal treatments. The common combined oestrogen/progestogen methods of hormonal contraception have some effect, but the anti-testosterone, Cyproterone, in combination with an oestrogen (Diane 35) is particularly effective at reducing androgenic hormone levels.
4.Oral antibiotics used to treat acne include erythromycin or one of the tetracycline antibiotics (tetracycline, oxytetracycline, or one of the once daily doxycycline, minocycline or lymecycline).
5.Use a gentle astringent/toner to wipe away oil. (There are many brands available in pharmacies, as well as from manufacturers of cosmetic lines.)
6.Pantothenic acid, also known as vitamin B5, is commonly supplemented in "mega-doses" by acne.
Home Remedies to Fight Acne
1.Lemon is an excellent cleanser for acne affected skin. You can mix fresh lemon juice with rose water and apply to affected skin. Wash off after half an hour with clean water.
2.Ordinary toothpaste can dramatically help with acne. If your face feels swollen, put a little bit of toothpaste on your pimples before going to bed.
3.Mint has been used to stop acne for centuries. It probably grows in your garden or you can buy it in a fruit and vegetable shop. Squeeze
4.Simple home vinegar is an effective acne cleanser. Mix it with a little salt and gently rub into your face. Wash off in about 30 minutes.
5.Cucumber also used to fight and prevent acne. Make a cucumber paste, put it on your face and let is stay there for several minutes.
6.Drinking your 8 glasses of water is also important in a fight against acne.
7.Wash your skin every day, morning and evening
8.Avoid oil food.

Acne Cured? Can You Do It?

by David Rambai

Acne is one of those ghastly conditions that just doesn't seem to budge when you want to get rid of it. But this isn't because it can't be cleared up, it's because you are using the effective ways to cure it. In this article you will find out the best acne cure and what to do NOW so you can see an end to your acne this week!
Because of the denial of natural acne cures in the conventional medical community and their own ineffective acne treatments in the form of antibiotics, topicals and even accutane - you are left to the vultures (metaphorically speaking...)
And who are the vultures? They are acne companies and the pharmaceutical industry. These organisations are out for profit and want your money, so they offer you expensive treatments that are mostly ineffective and keep you buying the next product (that they offer in another guise) to see if that works...
...And so you can easily fall into the trap of trying miracle acne cleanser after miracle acne pill until 10 years later you still have acne and are thousands of dollars out of profit!
So what can you do about? Well you need to find people who have cured their own acne, rather than rely on companies out for a profit. This way you maximise you chances of curing your acne.
As an ex-acne sufferer I found that simple diet changes and supplementation were the most effective and to this day keep me acne free. So what do I recommend?
Firstly you should avoid vegetable oils like the plague! They do nothing but cause inflamed acne. So DO NOT cook with them, do not eat chips and sauces that contain them and always check your food ingredients for them...
If you avoid vegetable oil you will clear your acne fast (up to 50-75% of all acne). Try it and see!

Cure Acne Naturally

by David Rambai

In this article I will describe the basic steps to curing acne naturally and as fast as possible. I personally suffered from acne for 11 years before finding out these secrets...
The first step to beautiful clear skin is to avoid vegetable oil. This is because vegetable oil causes hormonal inflammation and leads to bad break outs! You will find vegetable oil in many food products...
The main one is vegetable cooking oil such as sunflower oil. You MUST NOT use these oils to cook with if you want clear skin. You should also check the list of ingredients in the food you regularly eat to make sure you aren't eating any vegetable oil.
Ok, you are avoiding vegetable oil and you are getting much clearer skin. What next? You need to start getting a lot more high quality nutrients into your body. You can do this quite easily by eating more wholefoods and vegetables and by taking good quality supplements.
The last easy step in destroying acne is to check if you have candida. One quick way to do this is to check your tongue for a white coating. If you have this then you definitely have acne. Candida isn't very easy to get rid of, but I did it and so can you! The basic steps to getting rid of candida (which causes acne by the way) is to take probiotics, cut out sugar from your diet and eat lots of vegetables. You need to do this until your candida is gone. These are the basic steps to defeating candida, but there are more advanced ways as well, if you need them.
These three easy steps; avoiding vegetable oil, getting lots of quality nutrients and killing candida, are just some of the secrets to curing acne naturally that have an instant effect.

Cure Acne Today Using A Simple Approach

by David Rambai

In this brief article I want to show you a simple approach to curing your acne that is generally unknown to most acne sufferers. In comes in three simple steps but I will be concentrating on the most important one...
As an acne sufferer you need to be careful about what foods you eat. It is the biggest myth going around that "Food doesn't affect acne". It does, and anyone telling you otherwise is mistaken. Or lying. So which food do you need to avoid to clear your skin? Well, the worst acne causing food is vegetable oil. This is because vegetable oil disrupts your hormonal balance and causes devastating inflammation. This results in the worst kinds of acne break outs where they is very little you can do about the cysts that appear!
You MUST NOT eat vegetable oil if you want an end to your acne and beautiful clear skin. That is about the most important piece of information you could know about curing your acne, and it is a relative acne curing secret.
So where is vegetable oil usually found? Cooking oil! The most popular cooking oils are vegetable oils like sunflower oil. You need to avoid cooking with these and use a non-acne causing alternative like coconut oil.
Other places where vegetable oil is found is in sauces. So check there too. In fact, you should check your everyday food to see if it has any vegetable oil in it and replace any that do with a non-vegetable oil alternative.
Don't think you will be restricted in what you eat, because there really is plenty of alternatives to vegetable oil containing food. And you will not believe the difference it makes to your skin. So try taking vegetable oil out of your diet and see the miraculous results for yourself!

The Secret Acne Cure Revealed

by David Rambai

In this short article you will find out the secret acne cure the greedy acne industry doesn't want you to find out about. These 3 simple, natural and effective acne clearing steps cured me of my acne...
1. I found out after many years of suffering from chronic acne that food had a direct effect on my skin. Some foods seemed to clear my acne up somewhat, some made no difference, whilst a few foods caused break outs. The main one is vegetable oil. Whenever I ate this zits would appear within hours...
I advise you to avoid vegetable oil completely. There are others that are best to avoid as well, but vegetable oil is the worst. The most common source of vegetable oil is sunflower oil used in sauces and as cooking oils. You need to make sure you do not eat these, so check the food ingredients list of the food products you use.
2. I found that when I increased my intake of nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and enzymes, my skin cleared up significantly. I did this by eating more wholefoods and vegetables, and by taking some quality supplements.
3. The last step I took was to get rid of a fungi infection I had. This cleared up the remaining acne I would get.
These three steps are simple, totally safe, and the only way that I managed to clear my skin. I recommend that you try them and see the acne curing effects for yourself.

by David Rambai

In this brief article I will show you how to cure your acne in 3 easy-to-do steps. All 3 steps are natural and safe, and will work to clear your skin in just a few days. There are no recommendations for expensive cleansers or miracle acne pills. Nor is there any advice for your to fast on apples for 3 days or any other detoxing.
Acne is curable just by making a few simple dietary changes and taking some supplements. Read on to find out how...
Step 1: Avoid all vegetable oil. This includes vegetable cooking oils and vegetable oils in some sauces. Vegetable oil causes hormonal inflammation and results in acne. List the foods you eat on a regular basis and eliminate any that have vegetable oil listed in them. Replace with non-vegetable oil alternatives as there are plenty of these available.
Step 2: Get plenty of quality nutrients into your body on a daily basis. Modern processed food is depleted of vitamins, minerals and enzymes. You need to eat wholefoods and vegetables on a daily basis, as well as take quality supplements to make up for this. With an abundant quantity of quality nutrients in the body you will notice a major positive effect on your skin that you really cannot get any other way.

Stop living with acne acne treatments for every one

by dennis white

Pimples, Pimples, and yes I'm going to say it once more Pimples, its time for every one to stop living with acne and get the rite acne treatment for everyone
Pimples, blackheads and whiteheads have been causing people to freak out for years. I mean think about it how many times have you had a hot date or yearbook pictures only to wake up that very morning with a blemish the size of Mount Everest on your Face? These zits can show up without warning and can not be gone fast enough. So what can we do to combat these pesky pimples? For simple 3 day acne treatment Click Here!
The first step is to prevent acne from occurring in the first place. This can be done by washing the face first thing in the morning and then at evening before bed with a mild soap. Ladies be sure to remove makeup prior to going to bed. Falling asleep with cosmetics on even if only for an hour can be tragic for the face. Cleansing your face this often will keep bacteria from clogging your pores thus preventing a pimple from forming
Although it is rumored greasy foods and chocolate may cause acne there is little evidence to link this to acne. There has only been on food recently associated with acne breakouts and this is vegetable / sunflower oils. These can cause an outbreak within 30 minutes of ingesting it.
Should you have current acne you want to clear up I suggest using a topical cream. there are plenty on the market to choose from. I suggest using one that is gentle on the face. Above all means do not ever pop your pimples. All though this is rumored to help make them disappear faster it can cause your face to scar. It also will spread the acne causing bacteria all over your face making it easy to get further breakouts.also for more information on acne treatmentClick Here!

Acne Skin Care Treatment Product

by Ricky Lim

Although many people believed that acne is caused because a person's skin is too oily, those with dry skin are just as susceptible to the condition as well. Today more than 20% of all adults are affected by acne and this can often be caused by using very harsh products on their skin. However there are certain acne skin care treatment products that can further cause a person's skin to dry out and only exacerbate their acne even further.
Certainly the best way to treat any form of acne is through prevention. It is important that a person chooses a skin care treatment product which will not dry their skin out or cause any further damage to it. However it does not matter what type of skin you have as long as you understand what actually causes it, then you will find it much easier to prevent as well as treat your acne problem.
Most of the skin care treatments available for acne are likely to make the underlying causes of the problem much worse. Many of these actually contain sulfur or resorcinol or benzyl peroxide and these all help to dry up the excess oil that is being produced by a person's sebaceous glands but can also cause a person's skin to dry out more during the actual treatment process. Therefore although it may have prevented further oil from being produced it will cause the skin to dry out and this will then exacerbate the skin condition further. In fact what you have done is actually caused yourself another problem because your fine lines and wrinkles will begin to develop and so you have actually accelerated the process of aging in your skin. So it may be better to just blot the excess oil as it certainly will not cause the condition to become any worse.
To be honest if many people used less of these cleansing and skin products the incidents of acne would probably be much less. Instead people should look at using mild skin products as these will not damage their skin and understand their skin condition a little better. Understanding your skin and acne condition will help you determine the type of acne skin care treatment product to use.

The Best Acne Cure From The UK

by Keith Scott

There are many treatments and remedies available that claim to provide an acne cure UK surveys show that around 80% of 11-30 year olds will suffer from acne at some point in their lives. For the majority of sufferers, the symptoms of acne will mostly disappear when they reach their 30s but many people can still be seeking an acne cure well into their 40s and 50s. This makes acne is the most widespread form of skin disease.
The plethora of acne products, treatments and acne cures available in the UK range from a natural acne remedy and herbal acne treatments, to acne medicines and creams, right through to laser acne treatment and acne scar treatment.
What exactly is acne? It is a condition that occurs with skin pores becoming blocked due to a hormonal imbalance in the skin oil glands, known as the sebaceous glands. The blocking of the pores results in the appearance of lesions on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders, which are commonly referred to as pimples, spots or zits.
What causes acne? Medical opinion concludes that there is more than one single cause, but one of the most common is an increase in the concentration of male sex hormones called androgens. These hormones become more prevalent during the time of puberty in both boys and girls, resulting in the enlarging of the sebaceous glands, which in turn causes outbreaks of acne or spots. This can be very traumatic for young people at this time in their lives; the sudden change into adulthood brings with it so many other outside pressures, not least the modern obsession with flawless physical appearance.
Acne has been known to be hereditary, studies have shown that some teenage sufferers have in fact got a family history of the condition, in effect it is possible to inherit the disease from your parents. Hormonal imbalances that occur during pregnancy or when taking the birth control pill can cause cases of acne. Certain medications and drugs are known to cause acne as a side effect. This is a common side effect of using steroids so bodybuilders beware! Also certain greasy cosmetics can change the nature of the surface of the skin causing blocked pores and therefore acne problems.
There are several other factors that are said to cause acne but are in fact completely untrue. People say that acne is caused by over indulging in chocolate or greasy foods but there is little evidence to support this. Stress is sometimes blamed but this has no effect with regards to acne. Dirty skin has also been attributed to the condition but as previously explained, there are medically proven factors which cause the pore blockages and dirty skin is not one of them.
Acne can be very traumatic due to the profound physical effects it can have in some people. However, acne is an extremely common condition with many treatments and acne cures readily available in the UK.
